because the photo has NOTHING to do with the blog post. but who could resist those photos? not me, i am a sucker for a girl in mismatched socks ESPECIALLY if they have stars and stripes on them...
i am heading off on a VERY DIFFICULT assignment today and tomorrow... like JAMES BOND difficult. in fact, if i pull off this mission, i will obtain double 00 status as a mother and a human being....
i am heading to lakeland this afternoon. spending the night with my friend jennifer and then the fun starts friday morning. i will go to the hotel where millie, lucy, and sarah are staying for the state science fair competition. i pick them up EARLY (they are not happy with me about that). i then take them to jennifer’s school where the girls will give presentations of their science fair projects to her middle school science class. this is not the hard part yet...
but it is coming...
after that scientific venture, i then embark on the highly difficult and nearly impossible part...
RANDOM VOICE ON MY CELL PHONE: good morning, mrs. marshall. your mission should you choose to accept it involve the recovery of three teenage girls from the state science fair in lakeland and the safe delivery of them to their chorus and band field trips in orlando. you must find 2 buses in 2 different theme parks (wet n’ wild and sea world) to deliver the girls (2 at wet n’ wild and one girl to sea world). these three girls must be delivered at VERY specific times (12:00 and 1:30 exactly) so that they can meet up with their groups (chorus and band). you must get there WHILE the buses are unlocked and the groups haven’t gone into the parks yet. once the groups go in the parks the window of opportunity will close because you won’t be able to find the choral or band teachers with the group passes to get the girls in the park OR find the bus drivers to unlock the buses so the girls can get their luggage on the buses. this message will self destruct in 5 seconds. good luck and God bless.
it is an almost impossible task. and for some reason it sounded incredibly feasible when i signed up for it... i do love a good challenge. it will be kind of like rolling up a snowball and tossing it into hell...
but like most things, the harder the challenge... the better the pay off... and there is a BIG reward in this for me...
because IF and that is a big IF, i manage to pull off this coup of the century THEN...
i can go to the scrapbook store in orlando! and i will be purchasing items to make two baby scrapbooks for the brehon auction. i love to make baby scrapbooks, i get to design really cute pages, i don’t have to worry about adding pictures. i am spending the night in orlando (1.2 miles from the scrapbook store, just in case i need to make another run to the mother ship)...
so with my eyes on the prize (a night watching HGTV and scrapbooking in a nice hotel), i will accept this mission impossible....
pray for me, i am going in there armed with only a cell phone and a GPS system and a sense of humor and a hunger to conquer something IMPOSSIBLE that they said couldn’t be done by a mere mortal.
do they hand out medals to moms? if so, if i don’t come back alive, nominate me for something that will make me sound really brave...
and bury me wearing
