your moment of craft zen...

adam and i are taking the financial peace university class at our church.

and my friend, debbie, sent me the link to this cute project.... make your own cash envelopes.

because it is WAYYYYYY easier to be frugal when you have cuteness in your life.

well, last night was greene girl dinner and there is NO one better to craft with than a greene girl (they once won a christmas craft off contest at our house, i mean they SMASHED THE COMPETITION and made them all cry like babies. it was very festive and meaningful for a sacred holy christmas celebration)....

so after dinner last night we made our own cash envelopes. note that there were no really good instructions on that webpage, but that didn’t stop us from figuring out how to make these. we are certainly not craft-analphabets. and we  kicked it up a notch and used the laminator. oh yes we did....

this first one is mine. see the outside laminated sheet and the 5 inner pockets for each budget category (food, clothes, kids, etc...) see the pretty cash. it is a new month today, that is why there is pretty cash. don’t think it will be there in a few weeks. that envelope will have a distinct echo of emptiness to it then...
