we had a great birthday weekend with this girl. and just like her mama, she likes to celebrate for SEVERAL days...
friday... i picked her up early from school and we met adam at marie livingston’s for steak lunch. yum.
saturday... soccer game and special soccer snacks. then i took 3 of her friends with the birthday girl to the beach house for a sleep over. two of their moms when with us and that was fun for me to be able to spend time with some other moms that i never get to spend time with! one even spent the night with us at the beach house. special birthday dinner, cupcakes, and craziness.
sunday... special birthday breakfast, birthday lunch calzones. more craziness. then home from the beach. we had high school grounded at our house. but saved the birthday girl some snack from that. and sent her to bed early. because she was cranky and TIRED!
today... she took nibbles (her hamster) to school and i came midmorning with birthday cookies and juice boxes for her class. and then i brought nibbles home. and we will have CORN tonight with our dinner to end the birthday celebration weekend extravaganza.
whew. i am birthday overloaded. at least i have 6 weeks to rest up before millie’s 16th birthday. which i am sure will last for a week. or two.
she prayed a birthday prayer on sunday morning breakfast and her prayer included this line,
“please God make me more wild this year.”
my follow up stealth missile prayer was "God feel free to use a Holy and Righteous NO on that request".
though that cake smashing session may mean that God has answered her prayer already.... pray for me...
