we sojourned to mt. pleasant, s.c. for the weekend. home of adam’s mom and his brother’s family. and lots of other people. but we don’t know all of them. and they don’t all make us snowman potatoes.
we had a great time. and i tried to bring one of their plethoric linen closets home with me. but i refrained. only because adam said there wasn’t room in the car. buzz killer.
i have had a whole year to make peace with the no linen closet issue. and i have moved on. to “WHY DON’T I HAVE TWO OVENS AND AN EIGHT BURNER GAS STOVE???????” and throw in those drawers that close really quietly and smoothly just because i sooooooooo deserve them.
i could really make some potato snowmen if only i had those kitchen items.
can’t wait to see what coveted item next year brings.
another year of maturity and i have gotten three decimeters (my new favorite term of measurement) closer to contentment. maybe. at least i can laugh about it more.
and here is a great little article from john piper about why and how he uses twitter....
i love his last line...
“In spite of all the dangers, it seems like a risk worth taking. “All things were created through Christ and for Christ” (Colossians 1:16). The world does not know it, but that is why Twitter exists and that’s why I Tweet.”
