here are some last day of school photos just to show you how much i LOVE the last day of school. especially when it signals TIME TO PACK for choir tour (which i haven’t actually done yet. i packed rosie for her week with the greene girls and i helped millie and maxx pack. but i am not packed. i am a late packer...)
here is maxx winning the “most talented musician” award and millie winning an award from the florida state high magnetic lab for her achievements in science. three girls won that award and all three live in our neighborhood (which in now named nerd hills) and they all were in our Bible study girls group, i am SO proud. pride goeth before a fall... or before a super soaker attack....
and on the first day of school, my neighbors and i met the bus with a “snack shack” set up for afterschool snacks and so on the last day of school, we hid behind some buses (and my car) at the bus stop and soaked them with super soaker squirt guns....
i have some fun neighbors (who are never surprised by a phone call from me saying “grab your super soaker and meet me at the bus stop)... and some of those neighbors with really good aim... and i am very afraid of some of them now....
and then on to barnaby’s pizza. which we have done EVERY year on the last day of school. it is the ONLY time we ever go to barnaby’s pizza (which is where i used to go on the last day of school and as lucy pointed out they still have the SAME decor as when i used to go there, and they haven’t cleaned the tables since my high school visits....) but that pizza tastes like the beginning of summer to me...
