ummm, i would rather be a rock star... but at this point i will take the status of alive and kicking! we had a little fender bender last saturday night. maxx and rosie were in the car and in the BEST places they could be to be hurt the least amount. God is so good! the night before, we were traveling down the very same road and it was POURING and we found a random umbrella in the car and starting singing “God is so good, He sends umbrellas to us”. Then that next night on the same road, a guy in a truck runs a read light and we are able to get out of our car alive and well and sing, “God is so good, He saves our life”!
Needless to say, it has been an emotional week, a week of trying to live in the “what is” and not the “what if” (thank you to all who keep reminding me of this, I have the GREATEST friends in the world). I have realized that the little joys are so important: making pancakes for dinner, fixing the girls’ hair in the morning, helping maxx with his homework- i have relished these events with new eyes and fresh faith. may i learn the lessons that God has in store for me and may my faith and love for Him and others increase with each one...
