first day over, second day begun, and already i have to call the dr. because millie woke up with a TERRIBLE sore throat at 2 in the a.m. and maxx needs a physical form for cross country running club, and rosie has a dentist appointment tomorrow, and my hands hurt from filling out forms for all three of them and really don’t they have our address on the computer already and why did i have to write our address 387 times yesterday on every form known to man, and oh, by the way, meghan, you now have legal authority to pick up the kids at school anytime you want to according to the 387 forms i filled out and put your name as #3 emergency contact.... or shall i call you “auntie” meghan? and don’t forget dinner tonight at 6:00.... TACO TUESDAY, see you here “auntie” meghan....
ok, run on sentence complete. first day complete.
notice how the heat has affected that oreo cookie. it was a tad bit warm. after the elementary bus had come and gone and the kids had DEVOURED the first set of cookies, another neighbor and i redid it for the middle school kids. they were JUST as thrilled and not embarrassed at all to see their moms at the bus stop. note to self... i am less embarrassing to my kids when i have a plate of cookies and a pitcher of tea ready for them. lesson learned. see it was an educational day for me also....

my neighbors and i made a snack shack to greet the kids after school. it was a HIT. and we had a nice time chatting while we waited for the bus.... for 45 minutes in the sun... very fun, very hot.
