one more week...

years ago i read a organizational book and it said that if laundry overwhelmed you (YES, AMEN SISTER, PREACH ON) to make sure that you did a load or two a day and have it folded and put away before you went to bed at night and it would be manageable.

and that was the truth! i do laundry almost every day and fold a load or two every night (while i watch some amusing t.v. show, it is my little nightly escape for 30 minutes). then i put it away and it is all quite manageable and lovely and life goes on and birds sing and the sun rises. and for some reason i totally forgot to fold these clothes last night. my brain was on sun and fun and water and memorial day overload. and yet, the birds still sang and the sun rose and i walked into the laundry room and couldn’t believe that i had forgotten to fold clothes last night. i am so off my groove!

and speaking (well, typing actually) of overload.... here is what saltwater overload looks like. rosie had been in the ocean for 8 hours (not straight, she did take a lunch break) the day this photo was taken. and those are her pruney fingers after the tube-athon and swim-athon that they did. i cannot believe how long those kids stayed in the water everyday. let’s just say that they slept well at night. which is always good when you have 11 children in one beach house.

which of course is nothing if you are debbie: mother to 11 children and winner of every day in may blog contest. because she has feed 11 children for many years (well, bo does do all the cooking on weekends). but now i have to feed debbie at the shi shi poo poo french restaurant since technically i missed two blogging days in may...

and missed folding my laundry last night...

this place is going to you know where in a handbasket...

or in our case a laundry basket...
