that’s greenE, not green (though i did buy those reusable shopping bags from publix, i am saving the WORLD here people).
meghan greene is back in town! she has been in north carolina for the past two years because for some silly reason she thought she could live without the marshall family. that will show her...
as we said yesterday, “all roads lead to the marshall’s kitchen” and she is back where she belongs...
which is eating dinner out on the partio and then washing dishes in the kitchen...
i am thrilled that she has come back to work at FSU, except for that part where she has to work and not hang out with me all day.
there are three greene girls in all and 2 out of 3 of them are in tallahassee now. sarah teaches 2nd grade (she student taught at my kid’s elementary school but had to bring home the marshall kids one too many times, so she pursued employment elsewhere). the last greene girl may be coming to fsu in another year, then i will have ALL THREE GREENE GIRLS EATING AT MY HOUSE EVERY NIGHT AND DOING THE DISHES AND I WILL TAKE OVER THE WORLD (insert maniacal laughter here)......
these are the MOSTEST fun girls ever and the bestest house guests ever. i tell you that these girls were RAISED right! they have never eaten a meal here where they did not clean up. they have never come over when they did not make it easy and EXTREMELY fun to have them here. they know all kinds of games and they even make up games on the spot. they have a GREAT relationship (sarah and meghan will be living together again) and i have never seen two sisters who serve each other in love better than these two (and i have gone of several challenge trip with them, so i have seen the serving even thought they were exhausted). we have even spent a couple of thanksgivings with their family joining our family at the beach house. we have stayed at the greene compound in tampa and i know where they get all their good habits from... they got it from their mamma (and their dad, who is no slouch either).
mr. greene was here last night as well. he had come down from n.c. helping meghan move with his car full of meghan’s clothes (and these girls have the CUTEST clothes and donate their old clothes to millie). my dad came over for dinner too. oh, and sarah’s swain (that means boyfriend, don’t i have a HUGE vocabulary?) came too. jeffrey (the swain) works with my brother, max. i tell you those greenes (and swains) just are everywhere entangled with our family, and it has been the HUGEST blessing in our lives to know them!
the boys all shot bows and arrows outside until it was dark and then everyone started playing the wii. and then i looked at my watch and it was 10:30 and the kids were still awake. that is the only problem with 2 out of 3 green girls being here, i will stay up much too late with them! what does that mean if 3 out of 3 greene girls come to town? will i ever sleep again? and will it matter?....
one of my MANY prayers for my children is that they will grow up to be a bit greene (and not the recycling kind of green because my motto is “Jesus is coming back and He will do the recycling for us”). the prayer is really that they would grow up to love Jesus and other people, because that is what the greenes do so well. and they make is a lot of fun to be in this world and i can only imagine how much fun they will make Heaven....
do you think we can play “am i drinking or not” in heaven? oh, you don’t know that game...well, we will teach you how to play that in heaven, bring your own straw....
