my friend, frankie lynn said that she would read my blog if i would post ideas for teacher gifts and i just LOVE a new blog reader...
i bought these cooler bags (at “loli and the bean” for those of you who need to know these things.... frankie lynn), had them monogrammed because who doesn’t love their names on something? and then put a 4 pack of some yummy sparkling grapefruit soda inside (from fresh market). i am also going to make some cookies or some other snackie thing and put it in also and then off they will go to school. oh, and i made those little name tags too and had the kids write a special note on the back about one thing they LOVED about their teacher and then i laminated those and tied them onto the handles. one for maxx’s teacher, one for rosie’s, and one for their wonderful creative academics teacher who is leaving this year....
then for millie’s middle school teachers AND for all the special area teachers at the elementary school, i made notecard sets. usually i do individual ones with each teacher’s name on their set. but this year i did a collection of 12 different quote card packs for each teacher. i had them made up and printed a few months ago, i was SO ahead this year. last night i made packs of 12 card and 12 envelopes, tied on a “thank you and love from the marshall family” card and sent them off to school today. here is how those packs looked.
i KNOW that we still have a week of school. i am PAINFULLY aware of that fact. but i am also DONE handing out gifts and that is one more item checked off of my to do list. now if Jesus comes back this weekend, i have already handed out gifts before i meet Him in the air....
