there is something so magical about filtered sunlight. straight on sunlight seems so harsh and glaring. but filter that sun through some leaves. sparkle it off of the wetness after a rain. pure light show magic. simple and magnificent. it is the same way that i like to see God. not straight on (like that is happening here on earth) but filtered. through a glass darkly. seen amidst semi-transparent leaves on the vine. sparkling off of the rain drops left by the storms in their lives. it is the best way that i know of to look at Him and always be dazzled with His Brightness and Beauty.
