here is all i have for my reading throng...saturday night we had a party for middle school girls from our church. we had 12 girls here and the theme was DINNER WITH THE STARS. they dressed like stars (millie went in all yellow and was THE NORTH STAR). my favorite was the girl who came in her dad’s clothes and was larry the cable guy).
look at the cute invitation... (notice how i white boxed out our address and a phone number, i am internet safe from all those thousands of blog stalkers who now won’t be able to find my house or call amber’s phone number)
here is the menu and the girls had to order one item and one utensil per course, so some groups got salad and a spoon, or spaghetti and a knife, or a brownie and a fork (which was okay). actually those girls can shovel in the spaghetti with a knife fairly well.
i think the girls had fun, amber and i were exhausted from cooking and waiting on them! she had a great Bible study lesson planned for them with a relay race and drama activity and she had some FUN CRAFTS! whoo hoo, what is a party at the marshall’s house without a craft or two? then they watched a movie and amber and i cooked SO much popcorn in the microwave that when we were done the microwave gave up and hasn’t worked since.
