she got it from her mama...

okay, so i don’t usually make her dress like me...

because i love her...

but mostly because i don’t want her to kill me in my sleep. you know she is a big agatha christie fan and she might have learned a trick or two from those books about hiding the weapon and acting all innocent...

but i did make her wear this matching sweater for a photo op.

because one day she will get married and i will prepare a three hour long slide show of embarrassing photos for the rehearsal dinner.

i really purchased these sweater for a mere 5$ each at goodwill (too bad it wasn’t half price monday). i bought them for my book club’s december meeting where we were all supposed to wear a tacky holiday sweater. i could NOT believe my good fortune to find MATCHING sweaters...

now who would want to wear a matching tacky totally fabricated out of man made fibers and VERY hot and febreezed sweater from goodwill (i didn’t have time or the correct products to wash the sweaters and i am certain the febreeze kills all kinds of germs... actually i am not certain that febreeze killed anything at all, but they did smell better).

oh yes, my friend jodi would LOVE to wear one of these...

look at how happy it made her to wear this sweater...

those are tears of joy in her eyes... or an allergic reaction to febreeze...

i think we were laughing so hard because jodi said that i should have told the goodwill lady i was buying matching sweater for myself and my “partner”, and so we were trying to look like “partners”...

debbie’s sweatshirt says “meowy christmas”. she was there on half price monday...

go and visit her blog but do NOT for one minute think you will win the give-away... i have that cat in the bag (that was a mixed metaphor, but it went with her sweatshirt so just go with it...)

look at our personalized Christmas napkins...

are the books hot or are we hot? i can’t tell from the napkins but i will tell you that i was HOT in that acrylic sweater. and not the good kind of hot. the kind that defies febreeze...

here is belinda reading some deeply spiritual quotes from the book that she brought for us to play the “dirty santa” game (it is really the white elephant game, but i like to call it dirty santa with this group of really sweet homeschool moms. i am just “keeping in real” for them all...

we had read this book last month (honey for a woman’s heart) and we all chose a book to read that was mentioned in that book and then brought our book wrapped and ready to be exchanged with someone else.

i to gave a passionate reading from the book that i brought entitled will mrs. major go to hell? by aloise buckley heath (william f. buckley’s sister). of course my reading made everyone cry also... tears of laughter (it is a really funny book and i am a really funny passionate reader).
