it wishes for me to relate to you these words....

so it really isn’t great at the english language, but suffice it to say that i went on a nice long bike ride yesterday and it was my first nice long bike ride (or any length bike ride) for over a year and my rear end has a lot to say about that today. and most of what it has to say is...
“OOOOOWWWWWWW, OOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEE!”
especially when i sit down on it...
but it was wonderful to be out riding again. i love love love my bike. and it has been gone for over two months with a college girl who rode it for challenge (our yearly college bicycle trip that i have gone on 5 times, but not this year). and i missed my blue-ti-licious bicycle whilst it was gone and am planning on using it more frequently now that it has returned. i rode to Bible study yesterday and then took a lovely ride all around a few neighborhoods after that thrilled to be riding again.
and whoever said that once you learn to ride a bike, you always remember how to ride a bike, is right. once i got on and gave it about 4 pedals... it all came back to me and i was switching gears instinctively even though all my gear numbers have worn off the handlebars. it is a well-used, well-loved bike...
just not well-loved by my rear end this morning.

it just wanted to have the last word.... (but really it didn’t, i did. see how that works. it is MY blog after all, it is not named “all about lea’s rear end” though my blog readership might increase if it was named that... hmmm, and aren’t you glad i don’t have a photo that corresponds to this blog entry today...)
