kerry and lee. we taught lee in college sunday school for MANY years. and he was my lead biker on challenge a couple of times. not only that buy EVERY time on challenge that clint (our college pastor) would bellow out “LEEEEEEEE” we both came running thinking that each one of us was in trouble.... so we got to know each other fairly well.
lee’s little sister is ashlyn. the ashlyn that practically lived with me for 6 years. the one who housesat and flooded my house (the washer overflowed, not her fault) and killed my dog (the dog was already really really sick, not her fault) all in one weekend. as her dad remarked, “imagine what would have happened if she hadn’t liked you all so much.” she lives in pensacola now... but this summer with three BIG weddings and lots of showers and parties for the weddings, she has been living with us again for a while!
lee is the greatest guy. i remember one sunday when i was just remarking that i liked to use a podium when i taught and that i would have to do without it this week because there wasn’t one... that soon one magically appeared. lee had overheard me talking and had gone and searched one out for me. without being asked.
and then kerry is the daughter of two of my favorite people. her dad has been our guest speaker at beach church several times. because he is a great speaker. because his wife and daughters can lead the singing. but mostly because we LOVE spending the day at the beach with them.
so it was an awesome wedding. filled with the mostest funnest people. and wonderful people to photograph...
Entering the Vow
What is a vow,
but an intention
spoken out before the world
so that the world, in hearing,
might take part
in aspirations
of the willing heart?
In our coming here today
to join and bless
the joy of your becoming wed,
may we enter in
the truth of the words you've said,
"I do."
