she looks so sad to go back to school doesn’t she? well, i think they call it “projection” when you put your emotions on to someone else...
it was a bit sad for me. it changes from me waking up (after 8) and thinking,”hmmm, what can we do today” what do we WANT to do?” to waking up before 6 and thinking “what all do we HAVE to do today? what MUST GET DONE OR ELSE HEAVEN AND EARTH WILL PASS AWAY?” and frankly i like the former....
but there are moments of fun in between the running and picking up and being there on time.
like the first day of school “snack shack”. where some neighbors and i meet the buses on the first day of school with snacks beside the road. and the kids RUN off of the buses eager to get a warm because it has been sitting out in the sun for an hour snack. oreos are great with applied sunshine. all gushy and mushy and the inside all drippy. delish. trust me on this. or put your own bag of oreos outside for two hours on a summer afternooon. * results may vary. proceed with caution: drippy oreo innards may stain.

it was a busy day. but a good day. everyone’s schedules worked out (with some minor changes) and all is well. and all are tired. and wondering when friday will get here....
