no deep thoughts today...

because i am going on a field tip.

last week, i went to lunch with anna (one of our college girls) and she had with her a little 3 year old that she was babysitting for the week. this 3 year old’s parents go on LOTS of cruises, like once a month they are on a cruise and anna babysits for their three children. when i asked the little girl where her mommy and daddy were, she said, “they are on a field trip”. i thought that was so cute...

i would think it was cuter if that was the kind for field trip that i was going on today.

but it isn’t.

i am going to wild adventures theme park with maxx’s 5th grade class. and all the 5th grade classes from his school.

that is not a “cruise with my husband” kind of trip. not even close. though i may experience nausea and vomiting due to motion sickness that is the ONLY thing that we may have in common with cruising today. let’s just say that i do not enjoy a long ride on a school bus.

so no deep thoughts. i have to conserve my energy for 5th graders.

i didn’t have to conserve my energy yesterday. so, i biked to Bible study, then to my dad’s house. i borrowed his car to go and buy him a smoothie for his lunch. then i biked to a little cafe to have lunch with two friends and then biked home.

i would tell you what my rear end wants to say to you, but it isn’t on speaking terms with me today.

good thing because i don’t think that you need to hear the kind of language that it is using. not and remain confessed up with the Lord.

but it was so much fun to bike to lunch. i saved at least $5 in gas money, so that made my lunch soooooo inexpensive. and i most likely burned off most of the calories that i ate at lunch. winner, winner, chick-fil-a dinner. which is funny because that is what we had for dinner. rosie arrived back at school at 5 from her all day field trip (i had to take her to school at 6:30 yesterday, ugh!). we had to be on our way to church at that time, via chick-fil-a and the library to return our books which were not overdue yet. again, winner winner! i also had to deliver 30 muffins that i made for the teacher meeting at the middle school to someone from the middle school to take to the teacher meeting today since i will be on a field trip...

someone explain to me why i signed up to make muffins that needed to be at the middle school on the day i would be gone all day and late into the evening on a field trip? better yet, someone give me a gift card for a therapy session with someone who can cure me of my “need to please” addictions. well, that is a tad deep for today so let’s lighten the mood.

i LOVE the way jo commented yesterday on my blog about how she and i had JUST been discussing tolstoy and his writing. yes, people that is the kind of conversational banter that i engage in all the time.  that and talking about how much my rear end hurts from biking...

call me today whilst i am at wild adventures and i don’t think you will get anything close to a conversation about tolstoy... but you may hear me using some of the bad words that my rear end wants to say today...
